I wanted to take a moment to tell the people who read this blog, that I pray that God has used it for His glory in your life. I am convinced, that if it has helped just one brother or sister in Christ to fight the good fight, "useful for service", then it has been worth every moment. For those of you who have given me words of encouragement; I say "thank you". Writing has been beneficial for the writer also.
During this coming year I hope to continue to write as the Lord allows. I have need of much prayer in my walk with the Savior. One of many, is that I might not cease to ponder the wonders of His word and His ways. Oh how the busyness of this world desires to occupy our minds.
There is also one particular thing that has been on my mind and that I would ask you to pray about. It has been whirling around in my heart and mind for quite some time. Someday, if it is the Lord's will, I would like to write and publish a devotional based on a selection of articles from Pause and Ponder. My thought has been that it would cover the 52 weeks of a year. But I only want to do so if the Lord is leading in that way and for the purpose of edifying His Church. Anyway, I would ask that you pray about this in the months ahead.
My wife and I are going on our first real "vacation" together this coming week. It will be a late celebration of our 25th anniversary that we had in June. I will be flying on a jet for the first time. I still hope to write my first article of 2009 before the end of the month. And yes, Part Two of "Jettison the Cargo" is forthcoming. It may be the first article of the year or perhaps the second.
Again, I consider it a privilege that anyone would take the time to read what I write. If any good has come of it, I thank God and give Him all of the glory.
